What Are Spiritual Cleansing Techniques?

Overview

what spiritual cleansing techniques? : Overview :
There are many more ways to get squeaky clean than simply hopping in the shower. While folks surely know how to clean off exterior dirt and grime, they often forget about other kinds of cleansing. Spiritual cleansing techniques serve to clear out the inner soul, remove excess or detrimental energy trapped in the body and ensure a stronger connection with the world of the spirit.

Spiritual Bath

One of the easiest and least invasive means of spiritual cleansing is a bath. Soaking in a spiritual cleansing bath can leech toxins from the body as well as soothe the soul and mind. Fill a tub with warm water, 1 cup sea salt, 1 cup Epson salt and at least 1 teaspoon of essential oil. Choose whatever fragrance fits the need, from the soothing smell of lavender to the energizing aroma of rosemary.

Nose Cleansing

One of the techniques used on the yoga scene is nose cleansing, or Neti. This is done with salt water poured into a special cleansing unit that has an attachment that fits up each nostril. Cleansing the nose with a saltwater bath opens up the nasal cavity and its environs, including the eyes, throat and brain area, making for a relaxed mental state. The practice is also known to prevent colds and clear out debris from pollen, air pollution and smoking.

Crystals

Crystals have long been used for their potent ability to help the spirit and body's flow of energy. They can be placed anywhere where a dose of energy is needed and are frequently worn around the neck or kept by a person's pillow. Before a crystal can truly bond with a person, it should be placed in a dry sea salt bath in a natural container for about a week and then worn or kept by the bedside or pillow for another month. This will clear out any old or foreign energy the crystal may be harboring.

Chakras

The chakras are portals for energy throughout the body that also benefit from regular cleansing. They can be cleared out with crystals or also by using essential oils. These natural substances, sold at many health and spiritual shops, can be dabbed on the chakra and its surrounding areas to produce a crisp, clean portal through which energy can travel. The seven major chakras include the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root. They form a line down the center of the body, from the top of the head to the tip of the spine.

Intestines

Any spiritual cleansing would not be complete without a thorough rinsing of the digestive tract. Ingesting small amounts of bentonite clay over a prolonged period can help this process. Bentonite clay may be sold in health stores or in pharmacies under the names bentonitum or montmorillonite. The clay absorbs the toxins from the system and removes them from the body. People should mix 1 tablespoon of the substance with juice for a daily drink for one week, increasing the dosage each week but not exceeding 4 tablespoons, in at least two separate doses, per day. Use the clay for a week or two or up to a month, depending on how quickly toxins leave the system.
