Natural CuresRestless Leg Syndrome (or RLS) is a condition in which people experience uncomfortable sensations in their legs or arms. These feelings inspire an intense desire to move the legs. RLS frequently takes place when people are trying to sleep or are in another resting position. There are several natural remedies and cures for Restless Leg Syndrome that can help reduce the severity of the condition.
Iron Supplements
It is currently thought that a lack of iron is one of the main causes of Restless Legs Syndrome. Increasing your intake of iron through supplementation or a change in diet can reduce or even eliminate your RLS.
Vitamin B12 and Folate
Vitamin B12 or folate deficiencies are the next most common problems that can contribute to RLS. Talk to your doctor about checking for vitamin deficiencies if you think this may be an issue.
Elimination of Caffeine and Alcohol
Caffeine can contribute to anxiety and restlessness, so reducing the amount you take in as part of your daily routine can help you sleep better. It is also believed that alcohol can contribute to the symptoms and make RLS worse.
