Overview

natural ways facial pores smaller : Overview
Pores are tiny holes in the surface of the skin that allow hair and oil to reach the skin's surface. They are essential to your skin's health, and impossible to make "disappear." However, sometimes pores do get enlarged due to sun damage or lack of proper cleansing, and some people have naturally large pores. While there are a variety of products on the market targeted toward minimizing pores, there are some natural methods you can try as well.

Step 1

Fill a sink or a bowl with hot water (not boiling). The water should be hot enough that steam rises from the surface. Hold your face over the sink for a few minutes, ideally with a towel draped over your head to trap the steam. This helps open the pores, which may seem counterproductive but actually helps clean them.

Step 2

Soak a washcloth in lemon juice and hold it over your face (being careful to avoid your eyes). The enzymes in lemons (and all citrus fruits) are natural diuretics that help tighten the skin.

Step 3

Rinse the lemon juice off your skin with warm water.

Step 4

Splash your face with the coldest water possible. As an alternative, you can rub ice cubes on your face. The cold will cause the skin to tighten.

Step 5

Eat a diet rich in healthy fats, fruits and vegetables. Also, drink a lot of water. Good nutrition is the most natural way to get healthy skin.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Keeping your face clean is critical to reducing blackheads and clogged pores. Heavy makeup can get trapped in the pores and call attention to them rather than reducing them.
