Organic Dog Food Vs Natural Dog Food

Overview

organic dog food vs natural dog food : Overview
Organic and natural foods are much healthier and better than processed foods for humans. This also applies to our dogs. The cost you pay for natural and organic pet food is higher than that of processed foods, but the benefits your dog receives, such as more energy, better immune system, better coat and longer life, are worth the price.

Conventional Dog Food

Conventional dog food, unlike natural or organic, contains chemical preservatives. It's also not free from such things as blood, hair or any other byproducts of food industry. In addition, the animal meat may come from deceased, disabled or sick animals. It's also full of artificial flavors and "fillers."

Natural Dog Food

Natural dog food, on the other hand, is less processed. Although some contain preservatives, the food comes from natural ingredients. The ingredients are human grade, which makes food healthier and better tasting. However, there are no regulations on how the animals were raised or vegetables were grown, whether by using growth hormones or pesticides.

Organic Dog Food

The organic food industry is heavily regulated. In addition to having all of the benefits of natural food, the ingredients used must not contain any pesticides, hormones, antibiotics or be genetically engineered, thus making such dog food even healthier for your pet.

Natural vs Organic Dog Food

When shopping for dog food, it's always a better choice to buy either organic or natural food. Your dog will be healthier and happier. However, organic food comes much closer to being "real" and naturally healthier for your dog.
