All you need is a blender and the right ingredients to make a fast and delicious fruit smoothie. When you are trying to get more fruit into your diet, try blending different mixtures to take advantage of all the healthful ingredients that fruit smoothies have to offer. However, all fruit smoothie recipes are not the same--some use ice cream and other sweeteners that knock down the health advantages significantly. Here are three healthy fruit smoothie recipes that are sure to please.

Fruity Banana Smoothie

Gather the ingredients: 1 cup milk; 1 banana; 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1/4 tsp. vanilla; 1/2 cup fruit of your choice; 5-7 ice cubes. To make a Fruity Banana Smoothie, put all the ingredients in the blender. Break up the ice by blending at slow speed for 30 seconds. Turn blender to high for 1 minute. Pour and serve immediately.

Pretty in Pink Fruit Smoothie

You'll need: 2 cups hulled strawberries; 1 cup chopped watermelon; juice of 2 freshly squeezed oranges; juice of 1 freshly squeezed lime. To mix, place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth, about 1 minute. Cover the mixture and chill for 1 hour. Just before serving, stir the mixture and pour.

You're a Star Fruit Smoothie

Gather these ingredients: 3/4 cup pineapple juice; 1 peeled banana; 1 star fruit, peeled and any seeds removed; 1/2 cup pineapple chunks; 1 kiwi fruit, peeled; 10 ice cubes. Simply mix all the ingredients together in the blender and then process until smooth. Pour immediately into chilled glasses and enjoy. Note: Add 1 cup plain yogurt for a creamy star fruit smoothie.
