Salt is a natural abrasive that can be used to clean pots and pans. Olive oil can add shine to your wood furniture and floors.

A mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar and 2 cups water can clean a number of items in your home. This all-purpose solution can be used on sinks, floors, counters and toilets as a natural antibacterial cleanser. Try using this mixture for glass and mirror cleaning. White vinegar is biodegradable and a natural deodorizer. Adding 1 cup baking soda to your mixture increases scrubbing and deodorizing power. You can simulate the lemon scent of traditional furniture polish with an all-natural version of your own. Mix 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1 cup olive oil in a spray bottle and shake well.
