Pros and Cons of VO2 stress test
I was able to take advantage of the data from last week's VO2 test (which I wrote about in this blog) I went to a spin class early this morning before work, wearing my heartrate monitor. I deleted my old settings and punched in the new recommendation.

My old settings were based on my age, and my new settings are much higher. I sort of wondered why everyone was so sweaty and breathless during spin classes. Now I realize I wasn't working hard enough. I really had to crank up the dial on the bike to get my heartrate up to the level I am supposed to work out for maximum level of both fat burning and cardio health.

I usually like to talk to my friends next to me (which I know is frowned upon), but I wasn't feeling quite so talkative this morning!

Also, I could actually feel my heart beating! I'm just laughing at myself that I've been taking it easy these past few months in class. Darn that VO2 test! Now I have no excuses!
